World Consumer Day celebrated, Focus on redressal and generating awareness
World Consumer Rights Day is observed across the world today. Programmes focussing on consumer rights awareness have been organised across the country.
A two-day conference of secretaries and in-charge of the Deparment of Consumer Affairs was inaugurated by union law minister Hansraj Bharadwaj in New Delhi on Saturday.
The conference, organised by the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, will review the functioning of various consumer fora and evaluate the progress of redressal mechanism.
