India on Monday said that normalization of relations with Pakistan depends on that country taking concrete steps against terror emanating from its soil. India said further dialogue between the two countries depends on how the trial of Mumbai terror attack accused is conducted in that country and it will monitor the trial 'very carefully'.

Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna said after meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, "I utilized this opportunity to convey to Foreign Minister Qureshi that for the dialogue process to succeed, it is essential to ensure an environment free of violence, terrorism and the threat to use violence."

He further told the Pakistani leader that India had serious concerns about terrorists and extremist groups operating from Pakistan which are a security risk for India and its citizens.
