Deadly strain of H1N1 Influenza has killed 475 people in the country so far. Union Health Ministry on Monday informed that two deaths have been reported from the country today taking the death toll figure to 475.
One death has been reported from Maharashtra and the second case has been reported Kerala.
Health Ministry said in a statement that 203 people have died of Swine Flu in Maharastra alone. The worst affected state from the disease.
India's IT State Karnataka accounts for the second highest deaths due to H1N1 infection, total 118 deaths so far. Andhra Accounts for 49 deaths, Gujarat 40 and 16 deaths have occurred in National Capital Delhi.
The Ministry said 67 new cases are confirmed from various parts of the country on Monday. One is imported and rests are indigenous cases.
On Friday, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was confirmed positive for Swine Flu. After returning from an official visit of Russia he complained of fever and cold.
In subsequent tests the Flu was confirmed. He is undergoing treatment on a special ward created at the Chief Minister's House in Gandhinagar.
