Servers crashed during first online CAT exams for IIM admission

The first attempt to conduct fully online exam for admission into India's top business school has come under questions when some students appearing for the exam complained of glitches in the system.

It was reported from various cities during the first fully computerized Common Admission Tests (CAT) for admission into seven IIMs and other top business schools.

HRD Minister Kapil Sibal said these students will be allowed to appear in fresh tests.

According to reports, students complained of glitches in ceratin centres in Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bhopal.

The online examination is being conducted at more than 100 centers spread across 32 cities. More than two lakh forty thousand students had registered for the exam this year.
