SP Jain Institute of Management wins NTPC 'Electron Quiz 2010'

The Annual NTPC Electron Quiz for students of B- schools and engineering institutes was conducted by eminent quiz master Derek O Brien on Friday.

The winner was SP Jain Institute of Management, Mumbai represented by Nilesh Pulasaria and Sumukh Hiriekar followed by Jadavpur University, Kolkata (Soumyarup and Ritamaya Chattakhondi) and School of Management studies, Hyderabad(Nikil Kurusanti and Satish Reddy Karla).

The winners were awarded by N. N. Misra, Director (O), NTPC.

Six top teams reached the final round held today out of 200 teams which participated in the Regional Rounds conducted at NTPC's five regional Headquarters.

NTPC has been organising the 'Electron Quiz' for the past five years. The Electron quiz follows a two tier format i.e. Regional Level, and then at National level, at New Delhi.

The top three teams from each regional level competition i.e 15 teams were shortlisted for the National finals. Regional round was conducted by eminent quizzers KM Prashanth, DGM(PR) and Sujit Varkey, Sr. Manager(PMI) of NTPC.

NTPC said in a statement, "As an organization it is committed to Learning and anything that enhances learning. NTPC's perspective on quizzing is that it is a non-conventional but powerful collaborative learning tool of immense potential."
