Narendra Modi has to appear before SIT on March 21
Supreme Court appointed Special Investigation Team has asked Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to appear before it on March 21 for questioning in post-Godhra riots in the state in 2002.
SIT decided to summon the Chief Minister following a petition by Zakia Jaffrey, widow of the late Congress MP Ehsan Jaffrey who was burnt alive in the Gulbarg Society massacre in Ahmedabad.
SIT Chief RK Raghavan told reporters in Ahmedabad that the team will be asking few questions to Mr Modi based on the evidence collected till now.
