MNIK release deferred in Mumbai
Fearing the protest from Shivsena activists the owners of 53 theaters and multiplexes have decided to defer the release of Shah Rukh Khan starrer "My Name is Khan".
Only the owners of ten Multiplexes have agreed to screen the film on Friday.
They took the decision in a meeting held on Thursday.
Maharashtra Government has provided heavy security cover to these 63 theaters to ensure that film is being screened in Mumbai without any problem.
However, citing the security reasons the theater owners have decided to defer the release.
The decision about screening the film in Maharashtra will be taken by the theatre owners after a meeting later on Friday.
The Shiv Sena says that the agitation against Shah Rukh Khan will continue unless he apologises for his statement on inclusion of Pak players in IPL.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan has said that nobody can question his integrity and Shivsena has misconstrued his words.
