Raj Thakrey asks SBI to give preference to Maharashtrians in its recruitment drive

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, MNS, has once again raised the bogey of sons of soil by demanding preference to Maharashtrian applicants in recruitment drive of India's largest public sector bank - State Bank of India.
As per the Media reports MNS MLA Bala Naadgaonkar submitted a letter on Saturday to the State Bank of India (SBI) recruitment cell in Mumbai in this regard.
State Bank of India is holding an entrance exam in the state on Sunday and the administration has assured the MNS to speak to the authorities in Delhi regarding their demand. The MNS activists reportedly asked for the state quota of 1,100 vacancies be allotted to locals.
Meanwhile, the Police are on alert following the threat. A state police officer told journalists that strong security will be provided outside the exam centers and those who indulge in violence will be dealt with the full force of law.
