Punjab National Bank launches remittance scheme aimed at NRIs

KR Kamath launched the remittance scheme in Mumbai
Leading public sector bank – PNB has launched two schemes PNB NRI remit India and RET AD. Mr. KR Kamath, Chairman and Managing Director, PNB launched these services in Mumbai on Saturday.

Mr. Kamath said that NRI REMIT-INDIA is an on line cross border remittance solution to send money from USA to India. This is in association with The Bank of New York Mellon, New York.

RETAD is an online reporting system meant for Bank branches authorized to deal in Foreign Exchange. It is an online base system. Under this system branches can report their foreign exchange transaction, sale or purchase through system.

On this occasion the bank also re-launched the PNB World Travel Card in association with MasterCard. The PNB World Travel Card has been designed as a Prepaid Wallet for persons traveling abroad that can be used outside India. This Card is available in 3 currencies - US Dollar, EURO and British Pound.

Anees Kumar, Managing Director, Treasury Services India Sub Continent, The Bank of New York Mellon and Ms. Nisha Parera, Vice-President, The Bank of New York Mellon were also present on the occasion.
