Prime Minister discusses internal security situation with President

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh called on the President Pratibha Devisingh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday.
Dr. Manmohan Singh discussed internal security situation with the President in the wake of recent spurt in Naxal attacks in the various parts of the country.
Both the leaders also discussed various issues of national and international importance, particularly agricultural production and food security.
The Prime Minister also briefed the President about his forthcoming visit to Thailand where he will be attending the ASEAN-India Summit.
The meeting between the two lasted for about 30 minutes. Prime Minister also wished the President on the occasion of Deepawali.
