Prices will normalise soon: Prime Minister
Concerned with the criticism that his government has received on the issue of price rise the Prime Minister assured his party colleagues on Friday that the prices will normalize very soon.

In a meeting of congress working committee, which was called to discuss the issue, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said that the effect of government's step in this regard will be visible in few weeks time.

He said that his government is doing its best to contain inflation.

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee also expressed the hope that the situation with regard to price rise will normalize soon.

Media reports say that Congress President and other top functionaries of the party expressed their serious concern over rising prices.

Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi told media that they have been asked to keep the prices under control and act against hoarders and black marketers.
