Prabhat Singh joins GAIL as Director Marketing

Prabhat Singh takes over as Director Marketing of GAIL
Public Sector Gas Transportation Company GAIL has appointed Prabhat Singh as its Director Marketing.

Prior to joining GAIL as Director (Marketing), Prabhat Singh headed the upstream business development and strategy divisions in British Gas since April 2006.

Mr. Singh has around 29 years of experience of working in the Hydrocarbon Industry both in MNC and Public Sector Navratna PSUs at prestigious positions.

He is a Bachelor of Technology (Civil) from prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

The company said in a statement, "During his earlier stint in GAIL, Mr. Prabhat Singh made a major contribution in the execution of world's longest exclusive LPG pipeline project from Jamnagar to Loni."

Prior to GAIL he worked for EIL and NTPC

The project was recognized by the Asian Development Bank as the 'Best Managed Project' of the year.


He was also instrumental in ushering in of the 'Open Access Common Carrier Principle' in India which has brought in a paradigm shift and matured the pipeline transportation industry multi-fold in the country.

Prabhat Singh also led 'Project Parivartan' in GAIL - a human oriented change management initiative which put 'people at the heart of corporate purpose' to address the changing business environment.

Mr. Singh had also worked with EIL and NTPC.
