Members of Indian Parliament passed a resolution to unitedly fight and defeat the terrorism targeted at the country to mark the first anniversary of dastardly attack on Mumbai.
Members in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha stood in silence for a minute in memory of those killed in Mumbai terror attacks on this day last year.
Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar said that the House salutes the indomitable courage of the security forces who gave a crushing blow to the terrorists on November 26 and the resilience of the people of Mumbai.
Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari recalled the way Mumbai quickly attained normalcy after the 26/11 attack.
President Pratibha Patil reiterated the Government's determination to track down the master minds of this ghastly attack on India.
A blood donation camp was also organized in the Parliament complex as a mark of respect to the victims of Mumbai attack.
Do you think that in today's highly fractured and competitive politics the Parliament will, in near future, be able to function properly and constructively?
