The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has denounced Pakistan's selective approach to fight against terrorism and urged the world community to mount pressure on it for dismantling of Jihadi infrastructure in that country that continues to target India.
Manmohan Singh expressed readiness to pick up the "threads of the dialogue with Pakistan, including on Kashmir, so that they can write a new chapter in South Asia's history".
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, however made it clear that this could not happen till Islamabad abjures terrorism and comes to the table with good faith and sincerity.
Manmohan Singh was referring to Pakistan Army's recently launched offensive against Tahrik-a-Taiban of Pakistan and North Western Frontier Province and at the same time Pakistan’s support to terrorism in Kashmir and to the Jihadi groups that continue to target India.
In response to a question Manmohan Singh said there was enormous pressure on him after 26/11 to go after Pakistan but he resisted that pressure and the decision, on balance, was the right one.
