Heavy firing by Pak army at LoC
In most ceasefire violation of recent times, Pakistan Army on Thrusday night simultaneously opened heavy firing in Jhalas and Krishna Ghati sector in an attempt to infiltrate terrorists in India. This area is roughly three kilo meters from Poonch town on the line of actual control.

Entire area was put on a high alert with police, central para-military and members of village defence committees were out on patrols while Indian troops have appropriately responded to thwart Pakistan Army's plot.

The Pakistani Army was anticipating withdrawal of some troops from these two sectors for search operation in Beri Rakh forrest of Mendhar where encounter between holed militants and security forces is going on for the last three days.

Pakistani troops tried to push the militants hoping to take advantage of the situation but failed.
