PM to inaugurate important nuclear conference on Tuesday

Prime Minister of India would inaugurate international conference on 'Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy-2009'. The three day conference would begin on September 29, 2009 at Vigyan Bhawan.
The Conference is being organised as a part of the year long program to mark the birth centenary year of Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, founder of India's atomic energy program.
Department of Atomic Energy is organizing the conference in association with IAEA and Indian Nuclear Society.
The conference would deliberate on future development of nuclear energy in the country and its peaceful use.
Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, IAEA Director General Dr. Mohammed Elbaradei would also attend the conference.
The scope of the conference will cover both power and non-power applications of nuclear energy. Several policy makers and eminent nuclear scientists and technologists are expected to participate in the conference.
