Tata Nano launched in Mumbai, bookings to start from April 09
Much-awaited one lakh rupee small car, the Nano, made its commercial debut in Mumbai on Monday. At the launch of the snub-nosed car, Tata Motors chairman Ratan Tata said in Mumbai, that the company had made a promise and it has kept that promise. Tata said the endeavour was to provide an affordable form of transportation to the average Indian family.
From Monday onwards, the Nano will be available in showrooms in three versions. The delivery of the first lot of Nano cars will begin in early-July. It can be booked by paying just Rs 2,999 upfront.
