President and Secretary of the separatist Naga group NSCN (IM) called on Dr. Manmohan Singh and Home Minister P. Chidambaram on Tuesday to discuss the Naga Peace Process.

T. Muviah and Isak Chisi Swu arrived in New Delhi late yesterday evening from Switzerland where they are living in the self imposed exile.

After the meeting Mr. Muviah told reporters that they had comprehensive discussion with Home Minister and will continue the negotiation with Central Government.

Naga leaders want Naga dominated areas of neighbouring Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh to be merged in Greater Nagaland.

Reports say that they had told media of their desire to discuss the issue of sovereignty with government of India in this round of negotiations.

However, Indian government has refused to discuss the issue. Neighboring states, too, have opposed the idea of merger of their Naga dominated districts into a greater Nagaland.

NSCN (IM) entered into a ceasefire agreement with government of India in 1997. The last round of talks between the two parties took place in March 2009 in Switzerland.

Since then both the parties have held 65 rounds of talks to hammer out a solution to the Naga problem.
