NTPC’s Vindhyachal unit wins national award on Economics of Quality

NTPC VIndhyachal wins award for Economics of Quality
India's largest thermal power station NTPC-Vindhyachal has achieved power load factor of more than 93 per cent.

This achievement received recognition when the plant was selected for National Award on Economics of Quality. This is for the fourth time in a row in the public sector category.

wins the award 4th time in a row in PSU Category
Masaaki Imai Chairman of Kaizen Institute Tokyo gave the commendation award for the case study 'Performance Optimization of Condenser Vacuum in Unit-10 through DMAIC approach' to the team of young engineers of NTPC Vindhyachal team.

The award is the recognition of successful improvement of projects of an organization that have linked quality initiatives to real financial gains and competitiveness.

QCI is an autonomous body set up by the Government of India jointly with the Indian industry premiers ASSOCHAM, CII & FICCI that gives the award.
