NTPC's Installed Capacity rises to 33694 MW

NTPC becomes 33,694 MW co.
With the commissioning of Unit numbber 6 of 500 MW of Farakka Super Thermal Power Station on 23.03.2011 at 2:20 Hrs, the total capacity of NTPC group has become 33,694 MW.

NTPC is fulfilling power needs of the country through its 15 coal-based, 7 gas-based and 6 joint venture power stations, thereby bringing about the economic and social growth of the country. The company has been conferred with coveted “Maharatna” status by the government for its outstanding achievements over the years.

NTPC has been ranked as Asia's no.1 Independent Power Producer in Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company ranking and no. 2 Globally.

NTPC presently has more than 15,000 MW capacity under construction and more than 30,000 MW capacity under various stages of preparation.
