Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has said on Sunday that his government is committed to ensure price stability.

Dr. Singh said that he favors a fiscal policy that is beneficial for poor people and it will be done despite India moving on a path of 9 to 10 per cent growth. He said that the growth path taken by the government commit itself to inclusion of the poor in the financial and credit system of the country.

Talking about long term future of the country he said that he has every reason to believe that country will be more innovative in the future.

He was speaking in a function in New Delhi to release a book based on the speeches by various Reserve Bank Governors. The book contains 32 speeches by eight Reserve Bank Governors.
