The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to implement the directions of the Supreme Court in the Police recruitment case. The Court has directed the state government for giving provisional employment to the sacked recruits to the subject of court decision.
In 2007, Mayawati government sacked these 18,000 police recruits immediately after taking the charge citing irregularities in the recruitment process carried out by previous government.
