Manager arrested for taking Rs. 50,000
|
India's premier anti corruption agency - CBI on Thursday arrested a Manager, house keeping of Food Corporation of India, Raipur, Chhatisgarh for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.50,000.
CBI said in a statement that on the basis of complaint filed by a Raipur based Transport Contractor, a case was registered against Manager (House Keeping), Food Corporation of India, Raipur (CG) under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
It was alleged in the complaint that the accused demanded an illegal gratification of Rs.50,000 from the complainant for settling his pending bills.
CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.50,000 from the complainant. The arrested accused was produced before the Special Judge, CBI Cases, Raipur and was remanded to Police Custody till January 21, 2011.
