Maha Kumbh Mela begins, Millions take holy dip in Ganges on the occasion of Makar Sankranti

Century's first Maha Kumbh began this morning at Hardwar on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Lakhs of people from different parts of the country are pouring in at Har-ki-Pouri and at Sangam in Allahabad for a holy dip despite biting cold and fog.

Makar Sakrant's holy dip is being described as first bathing of Maha Kumbh.

Lakhs of people have gathered at Ganga Sagar to take a holy dip on the occasion of Makar Sankrati.

Makar Snkranti is being celebrated with joy and religious devotion in Rajasthan. In the morning, thousands of people were present at Holy Pushkar Sarovar and different other religious places in the state. The Sky of Jaipur was full of kites and people enjoyed this festival.
