MV Tanksale appointed CMD of Central bank of India

36 year long career in banking
Govt. of India has appointed MV Tanksale, Executive Director Punjab National Bank as Chairman & Managing Director of Central Bank of India for a period upto 31.07.2013. Mr. Tanksale took over his new assignment on 29th June 2011 at Mumbai.
Tanksale had a long banking career of 36 years in Union Bank of India starting from the position of Assistant Manager rising upto the position of General Manager.
He was elevated to the position of Executive Director in Punjab National Bank on 26th March 2009. During his stint in PNB, he made extensive efforts in promoting bank’s products such as e-banking, third party products - insurance, mutual funds and instrumental in setting up of a new division for Transaction Banking.
Having worked in all spheres of banking Mr. Tanksale is expected to give Central Bank of India a new direction in facing the emerging challenges.
