MP to get Electricity from NTPC's upcoming Lara & Barethi projects; agreement signed

India's largest power utility, NTPC Limited signed a power purchase agreement with Madhya Pradesh State Power Trading Company Limited for sale of power from its upcoming power stations, Lara Super Thermal Power Project in Chhattisgarh and Barethi Super Thermal Power Project in Madhya Pradesh. Lara and Barethi Power Stations will have an installed capacity of 4000 MW and 3960 MW respectively.
The agreement was signed by MKV Ramarao, Executive Director (Comml.) on behalf of NTPC and PK Vaishya, MD, on behalf of Madhya Pradesh State Power Trading company limited in the presence of Rajendra Shukla, Minister of Energy, Govt. Of MP,
ICP Keshari, Joint Secretary (Thermal), MOP-GOI, Mohd. Suleman, Secy. Energy, Govt. of MP, Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD, NTPC and Inderjit Kapoor, Director(Commercial), NTPC and Senior officials of both the organizations were present on the occasion.
