Kasab makes dramatic U-turn in the court, denies role in CST attack

The lone surviving terrorist in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Ajmal Amir Kasab on Friday denied having participated in the attacks and retracted from all his earlier statements saying they were made 'under duress'.
He said he was arrested on the night of November 25, a day before the terror strike. Kasab's statement was being recorded by Judge ML Tahiliyani.
Kasab told the court that he came to India via Samjauta Express and had valid visa documents. He said he was in Mumbai on the night of November 25 and was roaming in the Juhu area from where the local police arrested him and handed over to the crime branch.
Kasab also claimed that he was interrogated by five FBI officials including David Coleman Headley while he was in the custody of the crime branch.
However, Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam has said that Kasab's U- turn will not affect the case as the prosecution has already presented ample evidence in the form of photographs, CCTV footage and eye-witness accounts.
This is the second U-turn by the Kasab in this case.
