Ten days after quitting as Karnataka Lokayukta, Santosh Hegde today announced his decision to withdraw the resignation heeding appeals by BJP top leaders.

Talking to reporters in Bangalore, Santosh Hegde said, he will meet the Governor HR Bhardwaj on Monday and withdraw the resignation. Veteran leader L K Advani also made an appeal to reconsider his decision. In his appeal issued in Delhi, Lal Krishna Advani has said that he had known Justice Santosh Hegde for a long time, who is an eminent jurist, and urged the Yedurappa government to address the issues raised by him.
