K. Radhakrishnan to be new Chairman of ISRO

K. Radhakrishnan, Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Thiruvananthapuram, will take over as new Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO when present incumbent Madhawan Nair retires by the end of this month.

Mr. Radhakrishnan is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore with doctorate from IIT Kharagpur. He joined ISRO in 1971 and recently played a key roll during Chandrayan-I mission. In an interview to a newspaper, Radhakrishnan said, developing cryogenic engine endogenously for GSLV will be its immediate priority.
