Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren on Thursday won the trust motion by 19 votes. Shibu Soren is heading a coalition government of JMM and BJP and is also supported by AJSU and JD (U)
45 votes were cast in his favour while only 26 votes were cast against him.
Surprisingly all five members of RJD abstained from the voting. Apart from them Enos Ekka of Jharkhand Party, Congress MLA Gopal Nath Sahdeo, Marxist Coordination Committee MLA Arup Chatterjee and an independent MLA Harinarayan Ray too abstained from the trust vote.
Enos Ekka and Harinarayan Rai are in jail in a disproportionate assets case.
Besides his 18-member JMM, Shibu Soren claimed the support of NDA-20, AJSU-5, Jharkhand Janadhikar Manch-one, Rashtriya Kalyan Paksh-one and one Independent MLA Bidesh Singh.
