Jagan Mohan defies Congress leadership for consoling tour
In Andhra Pradesh, son of late chief minister YS Rajshekhar Reddy and Congress MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy began his consoling tour (Odarppu Yatra) from Ichapuram town in Srikakulam district on Thursday morning.
Jagan Mohan Reddy is member of Lok Sabha from Kadappa in the state where he also unveiled a statue of YS Rajshekar Reddy on his birth anniversary.
During his campaign, the Congress MP is visiting the families of those who have reportedly died due to shock after the sudden demise of Rajasekhara Reddy in a chopper crash. Planning to visit about 20 such families during the tour, the congress MP is briefly addressing massive crowds with out any reference to the party leadership.
Local media reported that thousands of people are queuing up on the roads and rooftops to welcome Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The Congress MP has begun his tour ignoring the warning from the party leadership. Though most of the party MPs and MLAs are staying away from the tour, Jagan Mohan Reddy has declared that he would take up similar campaigns in other districts too.
