Indu Liberhan takes over as secretary defence finance
Indu Liberhan has taken over as Secretary (Defence Finance). She is a 1972 IDAS officer and till recently worked as an Additional Controller General of Defence Accounts in the same ministry.
The 58-year-old Defence Accounts officer has over 36 years' experience in handling handling intricate financial matters in various central ministries including defence budgeting. She was born in 1950 and holds MA, M.Phil degrees and has been the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts, besides serving as Principal Advisor to the TRAI.
She has also worked in the Department of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Department of Power in various capacities.
