Indo-China trade expected to reach 60 billion Dollar this year
India China trade is set to touch an all time high of US$ 60 billion by the year end. Head of a visiting Chinese delegation told in a seminar in New Delhi.
Shen Wenping, Vice Director of Jiaxing Municipal Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, said that China is already the largest trading partner of India. He hoped growing trade between the two countries would cement mutual relations. He was speaking at a seminar organized by India’s largest industrial chamber CII.
He said that Jiaxing city in China is planning to setup three to five IT/BPO parks and currently engaged in talking to big IT companies like Infosys, HCL and TCS for this purpose.
He highlighted Jiaxing City's close relationship with CII over the past two years, which culminated in the signing of an MoU earlier this year.
Shen Wenping also mentioned that during the ongoing recession China is pushing development of infrastructure and education sector and he invited Indian enterprises to operate language schools from China.
The delegation aims to explore potential opportunities for individually owned companies in Jiaxing to invest overseas. It also attempts to promote cooperative projects with India, and seek new sources of imports.
