In an important recognition of India as Nuclear Weapon state US President Barack Obama referred India as responsible Nuclear Power whose support is necessary for the cause of complete disarmament and nuclear non proliferation.

Mr. Obama said that as nuclear powers, both the nations have responsibility for non proliferation and to prevent the falling of nuclear devices in the hands of terrorists, besides realising the vision of nuclear weapons free world.

The personal equations between both the leaders were at display during the official welcome of Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at White House.

President Barack Obama praised Indian Prime Minister as a ‘wise leader’ and a person with 'honesty and integrity'. Mr. Obama said, "I respect him and trust him."

He also accepted Dr. Manmohan Singh’s request to visit India the next year.

On the issue of operationalization of Nuclear deal with India President Obama said, "I reaffirmed to the Prime Minister my administration's commitment to fully implement the U.S.-India Civil Nuclear Agreement, which will increase American exports and create jobs in both jobs."
