India has signed an agreement with Namibia to facilitate supply of Uranium to New Delhi. This will go a long way in meeting the growing energy demand in India. Namibia is the fifth largest Uranium producer of the world. India has already signed similar nuclear agreements with Kazakhstan, the United States, France and Russia.
The visiting Namibian President also invited the Indian industry to invest in that country and assured of conducive environment and incentives for their growth.
He said that Indian companies can invest into sectors like tourism, agriculture, telecom, infrastructure development, leather and textiles, mining and jewellery besides education.
