India China ready to resolve all the issues through dialogue

After a fortnight of rhetoric and one upmanship Indian and Chinese leaders held bilateral talks on Saturday in Hua Hin, Thailand on the sidelines of 7th India-ASEAN summit. The talks were held in a warm and friendly atmosphere that lasted almost one hour.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao felicitated Dr. Singh on his re-election. He said that in the past years both the leaders had reached important agreements on how to develop and strengthen bilateral relations.
Mr. Jiabao said, "This serves the interests of the two countries, the region and the world."
During the meeting Prime Minister Singh reviewed all aspects of bilateral relations with Chinese Premier and reiterated India's readiness to cooperate with China on global issues like climate change, world trade and the global financial crisis.
Dr Singh referred to bilateral cooperation in different in fields and said that he would like to see India-China relations move forward in every direction. He also described economic and trade relations as a vital pillar of the partnership between two countries.
India underscored the importance for both sides to build better understanding and trust at the political level so that our relations remain robust and strong. He stressed that neither side should let our differences act as impediment to the growth of functional cooperation between the two countries.
Dr. Singh agreed with Premier Wen’s views that partnership between the two countries is in the interest of the region and the whole world.
Chinese leader emphasized that for the Asian Century to become a reality, it is important that India and Chine should live in harmony and friendship and enjoy prosperity. He also expressed his countries willingness to maintain high level exchanges.
