Helicopters best to counter Mumbai like terror strikes
The Air Chief Marshal Mr. Fali Homi Major emphasised the need of Multifunctional Compact System of helicopters to counter the terrorist strikes. Mr. Fali Major is first heicopter pilot to become air force chief.
Addressing a seminar in New Delhi on Tuesday, he said that versatility of helicopters makes an ideal platform for counter terrorism operation. Mr. Major said that there is a need for a joint exercise between the different security forces to counter terrorist elements. He said helicopters were effectively used in 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
