America's Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has strongly refuted reports that Pakistani-origin US national David Coleman Headley was its agent at any point of time. FBI arrested David Coleman Headley on October 3rd this year from Chicago for plotting attacks on India and Denmark at the behest of Lashkar-a-Taiyaba.
Later FBI charged David Coleman Headley and Tahawwur Hussain Rana for their involvement in 26/11 terror attacks.
CIA spokesperson Marie E Harf told media when specifically asked about Headley and his links with CIA said any suggestion that Headley worked for the CIA is flat wrong.
There were news reports in India and US that Headley may well have been a double agent working for the CIA as well as Pakistani terror groups including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), which carried out the Mumbai terrorist attack.
