Indian team leaves for the US
A four-member team of Indian investigators will leave for the US on Sunday to interrogate David Headley, who is accused of helping Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists to carry out the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
The team comprises of three officials from NIA (National Investigation Agency) and a law officer. The interrogation of Headley is expected to begin the next week.
Pakistani-American citizen Headley has already confessed to have conducted several reconnaissance missions as part of the preparations of 26/11 attacks.
After his arrest in October last year, the 49-year old David Coleman Headley entered into a plea bargain with the US government in March this year, when he offered to be available to foreign investigators through deposition, video conferencing.
