Siddharth Behura, Chadaulia arrested
Central Bureau of Investigation has on Wednesday arrested former telecom minister A. Raja, former telecom secretary and retired IAS officer Siddharth Behura and the then private secretary to A. Raja – R.K. Chandaulia.
CBI said in a statement that they have been arrested on the facts disclosed so far during the investigation regarding their role in allocation of letter of intent and resultant UAS licenses & spectrum to certain companies ahead of others.
CBI said that their actions were in violation of established guidelines and procedures.
CBI had earlier registered a case under Section 120-B of IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 against unknown officials of DoT and unknown private person/companies and others on the allegation of conspiracy and abuse of official position in order to give pecuniary favour to the applicant companies.
