In Jamui district of Bihar, five policemen including an Assistant Sub Inspector have been killed and two injured in a naxal attack in Sono Bazar area of Jamui district.
Four of the five officers belong to Special Auxiliary Police. Around 50 armed activists assembled at a chowk in the main market and sprayed bullets at the police party patrolling there in a jeep. The naxals managed to flee after looting arms of the policemen under the cover of darkness.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and a search operation has been launched.
