First 500 MW Unit of Jhajjar Project goes on Stream

NTPC's Jhajjar Unit starts operation
The first 500 MW unit of Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project at Jhajjar of Aravali Power Company Private Limited (APCPL) a JV of NTPC Limited, Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited, Govt. of Haryana and Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited, Govt. of Delhi has been successfully synchronised with grid at 2328 hrs on 10th Oct. 2010.

Situated at Village Jharli in Jhajjar district of Haryana, it is one of the projects targeted to power the Commonwealth Games. Besides this, NTPC has already commissioned two units of 490 MW each at NTPC Dadri for the Commonwealth Games.
