The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has greeted the people on the festive occasion of Deepawali.
In his message, the Prime Minister said that Deepawali symbolizes the victory of good over evil, and brings joy and hope to people all over the country.
It is an occasion for strengthening the bonds of friendship and goodwill between us. The festival of lights inspires us to fight darkness in all spheres of life.
"May Deepawali bring increased happiness, peace and prosperity to our people", the Prime Minister added.
