Curfew is imposed in 17 Police Station Areas
Following the clashes between two groups in the old city, Police have decided to impose the curfew in 17 Police Station Areas of Andhra Pradesh Capital on Monday.
35 people were injured in stone pelting between the communities in the past two days. Police have detained 70 persons in connection with the clashes.
Curfew has been imposed in the southern zone of the old city of Hyderabad.
City Police Commissioner AK Khan told the local media that indefinite curfew has been imposed in the most affected areas of the old city.
Chief Minister K. Rosaiah reviewed the situation in a high level meeting and decision to impose the curfew was taken in the meeting after reports of fresh stone pelting on Monday evening.
