Party doesn't have sufficient numbers: Congress
The Jharkhand Governor has sent a report on Monday to the Central government on the political situation in the state. Union Cabinet likely to meet on Tuesday to discuss the issue.

Earlier in the day the state governor MOH Farooq held discussions with the major political parties in the state on the government formation following resignation by the chief minister Shibu Soren. Shibu Soren resigned a day before the scheduled trial of strength on the floor of the house.

AICC General Secretary in charge of Jharkhand K Keshav Rao told reporters in New Delhi today, his party wanted a stable and honest government in the state and did not find itself in a position to form a government right now.

The political crises was triggered in the state after Shibu Soren voted against the Cut motion in the Lok Sabha moved by BJP its colation partner in the state.

BJP having 18 members in the 82 member house has sought a day's time for its view on the prospects of government formation. Congress having 14 members has said it did not have the numbers to form the government.
