CBI takes up Ruchika related three more cases for investigation

CBI registers additional cases
CBI on Monday re-registered three additional cases related to Ruchika Girhotra at Special Crime Zone at New Delhi. The cases have been registered against Ex DGP of Haryana Police – Shambhu Pratap Singh Rathore, the then SP, SI, ASIs and others.
CBI spokesperson Harsh Bhal told the media that the SP of Special Crime Unit of CBI has been appointed as the Chief Investigating Officer. He will be assisted by a team of legal experts and investigating officers.
Mr Bhal said, CBI has a well laid down policy regarding arrest of the accused and interaction with media. These instructions will be followed in these three cases in letter and spirit.
Meanwhile, CBI has appealed to all persons in the know of the facts & circumstances of these cases and to those who are willing to give evidence in the court that they should contact the agency.
