Bihar Govt transfers 29 police officers after molestation case
In Bihar, 29 police officers including 14 IPS officers have been transferred in the wake of stripping of an woman in Patna in full public view on Thursday. Sixteen transferred officials are from the State Capital. They are from IG to DSP rank. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ordered an inquiry by the Director General of Police into the incident of molestation of the woman and assured severe action against the police officials who are responsible for the incident.
The opposition parties including RJD, Congress and Left strongly condemned the deteriorating law and order in the State and demanded resignation of Nitish Kumar Government.
