India's border security force(BSF) has said that it is ready to help in the total reorganization of the Bangladesh Rifles after the bloody mutiny in that force.
BSF Director General M L Kumawat said, his force would offer all help and cooperation to reorganise the border guarding force of Bangladesh under a new name and uniform to clear the blot it got after the mutiny in which 58 army officers, including the then BDR chief Major General Shakeel Ahmed, were killed.
During the visit of a top BDR delegation led by its new chief Brigadier General Mainul Islam to India, BSF and BDR discussed the mutiny and the move to reorganise the force. India also assured Bangladesh that any remaining elements of the mutineers will not be allowed to cross over into India.
