As a direct fallout of Shibu Soren's yesterday's voting against the cut motions moved by the BJP, the party has announced the withdrawal of support from Shibu Soren led government in Jharkhand.
The decision was taken at the BJP parliamentary party board meeting in New Delhi.
Senior party leader Gopinath Munde said Jharkhand party Chief will submit the withdrawal of support letter to the Governor.
Mr. Munde described voting against the cut motions by Shibu Soren as a betrayal. Soren yesterday voted against the cut motions brought by BJP against hike in petroleum and fertiliser prices.
Congress said it is keeping a close watch on the evolving situation and will not take any decision in haste.
JMM has 18 members in the 81 member Jharkhand assembly, while BJP with its allies has 20 seats. Congress has 14 legislators with ally JVM on 11 seats taking its strength up to 25 in the assembly.
