BJP has won two seats in Kollegal and Chitapur in the by elections held for 5 assembly seats in Karnataka. JDS has retained Ramnagar and won in Channapatna. Congress candidate has won from Govindraj Nagara assembly constituency in Bangalore.
The strength of BJP in the assembly has gone up from 115 to 117 after the by elections.
